The Bidding & Custom Product Admin Page

The Bidding & Custom Products Admin page is used to edit, delete, and view bids and custom (FFP) products.

See also bidding system and FFParamas for more information on working with bids and FFP orders.

General Description of how to operate this Admin pages

For custom product (FFP) the WYSIWYG is displayed. You can edit the FFP using this page in the same way as the customer.

When using OrderLineItem admin page to directly edit a raw FFP do not insert a brace character directly into an FFP data entry. Instead use the HTML entities: use [ instead of [ and use ] instead of ].

TEMPLATES

The system allows you to save any individual bid (orderlineitem) as a template. These templates can then be loaded over an exsiting bid to replace values in the FFP parameter after the EndRFB FFP. All values entered by the customer in the RFB portion of the bid is preserved.

You can work with up to 200 templates and reuse them as often as you like. If you create more than 200 templates, only the first 200 will be useable on the Bidding Admin page. You can delete template beyond the 200 mark by using the OrderLineItem Admin page.

A template is an OrderLineItem record which is not connected to any order. This special case record is identified as follows:

  1. Transactionid = 0
  2. AltItemDescription = {TEMPLATE} <name>
  3. InspectedBy = the CustomerId of the Dealer who has saved the template.

Working with Templates
Templates are copies of the current bid which you save for future reuse. You can have up to 200 templates. You can name the templates anything you like (up to 50 characters - 20 recommended). The import thing to understand about templates is that they are saved bids. You cannot save a bid as a template until you have first saved the bid itself.

To save a template follow these steps:

  1. Save the current bid by pressing the [ SAVE INFORMATION ] button.
  2. Type a name in the template name field (see illustration below).
  3. Press the [ Save current bid as template ] button.

To load a template into the current bid follow these steps:

  1. Select the template you wish to load from the dropdown box (see illustration below).
  2. Press the [ Load ] button.
Note: Loading a template will replace all information in a bid after the data entered by the customer when they requested the bid. This is the area below the horizonal bar which divides the bid in half. You can undo a load operation by pressing the [ Find ] button (as long as you have not saved the bid with the template data). Pressing the [ Find ] buton will reload the last version of this bid which you saved.

To delete a template follow these steps:

  1. Select the template you wish to delete from the dropdown box (see illustration below).
  2. Press the [ Delete ] button.

Adjusting Templates
The price values entered into templates can be globally adjusted for future price changes. You can select a set of templates and apply a percentage to increase or decrease all the prices in each template.

To adjust the price of a template follow these steps:

  1. Type a percentage (i.e. 10 = 10% or 50 = 50%) into the amount field (see illustration below).
  2. Type a template name into the Selected Templates field (see illustration below). If you do not enter a name then all templates will be adjusted. Wild card matching is used (i.e. entering the word MyTemplate will match all templates which have the word MyTemplate in their name.)
  3. Press the [ adjust Templates(s) ] button.
