BLOG SYSTEM

The SendSafe system can be used to create full featured blogs. These blogs can include pictures, videos, comments, and more. All blogs are moderated, so no content is displayed until it is approved. CSC records are used for blog records. This content can be used for e-mail broadcasts.

How blogs work:

1.  Anyone can read a blog and search for blogs or comments without logging in.

2.  Until one logs in, one cannot add a blog, comment on other blogs, or edit your own previous work.

3.  The system will start paging as more entries than fit on a page are present.

4.  The articles are sorted by publication date.

5.  Log in as a customer to post new blogs, post comments, and edit your own previous blogs and comments. Posting can be done from the headline page and the full article page.

a.  Options displayed on headline page

b.  Options displayed on full article page (i.e. you clicked “read more”)

6.  To edit a blog you originally posted, you must log in.

a.  A “Last Revised” date stamp shows the blog entry was changed

b.  A revision count (R.1) shows the number of times the blog entry has been changed.

c.  Example:

7.  To edit a comment you originally posted, you must log in.

a.  A “Last Revised” date stamp shows the comment entry was changed

b.  A revision count (R.1) shows the number of times the comment entry has been changed.

8.  Editing notes:

a.  Picture appearance size is configurable. Current display is 200H x 300W. The 300W is set to be aesthetically appealing in the column.

b.  Currently, pictures must be at least 300W in order to display properly. We can add logic to handle smaller pics, if you desire.

c.  Currently, pictures are automatically resized to a max of 200H or 300W when uploaded. The images do not need to be in this aspect ratio; this is just the max size displayed.

d.  The first picture is displayed on both the headline page and the full article page.

e.  All other pictures or movies are displayed, in the sequence entered, below the article’s title and before the story itself.

f.   The first picture plus 2 paragraphs of text (approx) are displayed on the headline page.

g.  You can upload pictures or embed to movies hosted on sites like YouTube.com
